Jan 31 | Conflict resolution

Ugly conflicts are never a pretty sight to see, and the case is made even more so when its between a violent hardhead and a silly provocateur.

Jan 30 | Hunter hunted

While it is not my usual tendency to babble on about politics and the like, I find it somewhat important to address an issue that has been surfacing in Iraq about the abuse of prisoners.

Jan 29 | Uma cantico

I thought that I might add this to my blog, for I just came back from a church choir practice and there was a song that particulary struck a chord:
Uma certeza nos guia
Ao longo do caminhar;
Por isso vamos a Ti
Alegramente a cantar.
Não vou só
Tenho um amigo a meu lado.
Não vou só
Eu sei que Deus está comigo.
Brilha no céu uma estrela
A iluminar o caminho
Para que veja o Senhor
No rosto do meu vizinho.
Quando a jornada for dura
E a força já te faltar,
Levanta os olhos ao Céu:
Só Deus te pode ajudar.
Kinda sums up what I’m feeling, I guess.

Peer Larson, 17, had lined up a dream camp counselor job last June, but honors pre-calculus homework turned his summer into a headache.
“It didn’t completely ruin my summer, but it did give me a lot of undue stress both at home and at work,” the high school junior said Thursday.

Jan 18 | On liking

Liking someone is a very troubling affair, especially when 1) you realise the person you like deserves a goodness that you think most people can’t provide 2) you realise a relationship might never happen and 3) you can’t express yourself well and 4) life is so much better with that someone.
