There’s an ongoing project at our school called the “Clothesline Project” (website) which is “a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt.

Admittedly, it’s freakish to think that about a month remains before the school year ends and that I will no longer be that eager, ‘I want to take every class I can and join every cool club on campus and sign up for every mailinglist’ freshman that I used (or not) to be.
I miss home.

Every year students are given the opportunity to block house, a term that the administration explains as allowing the:
“enhancement of student life and social interaction that can occur when bonds of friendship which have already formed are allowed to strengthen in day-to-day living” (link).
It essentially allows students to choose what dorm they want to be the following year and with whom, and hope that destiny and fate in the form of the ‘lottery’ will provide them with the place.
