I wonder why. Maybe it’s because without being so selfish you really can’t get anywhere.
Don’t worry, selfish or not, God will take you places.

"Apply for the Annual Student Advisory Board. A Great Resume-Builder!", the email promises. The onslaught of emails from Experience, a website that "provides students and recent graduates with job listings", seems to me more of a nag rather than a helpful source. It is as though having a great resume is one of the pillars of future success, a great paycheck, and a job that anyone would die for- I wonder why people would want to mold themselves to become part of such a world. I for one envy those who can leave everything behind and take a plane and , for example, unattached to commitments and responsibility, tasks and reminders, deadlines and due dates that seem to haunt my everyday life. I feel as though someone is duct-taping me as I sit in this chair, condemning me to a life of always trying to outbest my neighbor.
Today's college students are more narcissistic and self-centered than their predecessors, according to by five psychologists who worry that the trend could be harmful to personal relationships and American society.
I wonder why. Maybe it's because without being so selfish you really can't get anywhere.
Sigh.
