Free AJAX and Flash Packages

In order to commemorate the launching of two of my best winter 2007 projects, I have decided to go ahead and provide, at no cost, a collection of free AJAX and flash tools I’m sure you’ll like and that I, over the course of the site’s development, searched for at length and acquired.

Many of these scripts are suitable for turnkey projects. In the AJAX package you will find 30 folders or files including (I have added several versions so that you can see which ones work on your server):

  1. Zelune 2
  2. PHProxy 0.5b2
  3. CGIProxy 2.0.1
  4. Glype 0.5.1
  5. FastProxy
  6. YouTube Video Downloader
  7. WhoisX 1.1
  8. Matt’s Whois
  9. MicroWhois
  10. MaxWhois (I think they ran out of ideas)
  11. Domain Whois
  12. TinyUrl - URL shortner script
  13. A PageRank™ checker from somewhere
  14. The Pagerank Checker Tool 1.2
  15. AJAX Domain Availablity Check script 0.83
  16. PHP File Uploader with AJAX progress bar
  17. jsScrolling
  18. HotorNot script
  19. AJAX Glider 0.0.3
  20. Drag and Drop Downloader
  21. DNS Tools via Gscript
  22. CJ Domain Whois 1.0
  23. AJAX Uploader
  24. AjaxDomainSearch
  25. AJAX Contact
  26. AJAX File Uploader v0.2

This is now offered as a commercial release.

The file is provided as-is and I do not accept any responsibility whatsoever with regards to the contents of the file.

Next up, Flash Player files. I was looking for a good script to embed and playback flv format clips on my site, just like YouTube, but without the branding that comes with embedding the code they have. Turns out the choices are few as yet, but I’ve compiled them into one:

  1. Wimpy Wasp 2.0
  2. Open Source FLV Player (highly recommended if you’re looking to play just one file) via the marvelous Trent Tompkins
  3. Mini Flash Video Player
  4. JW FLV Player 3.13
  5. Flow Player 1.21.1
  6. 2004 Dynamic FLV Player 2.3 (recommended if you want navigation)

This is now offered as a commercial release.
