Interesting. I used to live not too far from Swarthmore. Hope you enjoy Philly as much as I did.
There were scattered snow flurries yesterday in Philadelphia, which brought about much excitement and hopes for a bit of buildup, but things turned slippery towards the later part of the evening. It's definitely much colder here than it is in Europe, but I feel it's more wintery this way.
I'm thinking of taking my bike into Philly proper (using SEPTA, as the cold would cause my body to come apart in chunks if I were to bike all the way) and take a bit of a much-needed tour. The good thing about returning early is that I get a bit of time to relax (and buy textbooks, which I've been putting off for a bit after suffering mild after-effects of price-related shock).
Did you know that the flags are all at half-staff in honor of the death of former President Ford?
