I saw "The Last Samurai" yesterday. It was better than I thought it would be, and as always with Hollywood, the scale of the movie was big. Its not all action, though, and theres not too much love (like Pearl Harbour) and stuff to taint the theme. I liked the story behind it, and although it has no historical verification (it does takes place in an appropriate time frame), it was well done. Its not all about Tom Cruise, thats for sure. The end's a bit heart-wrenching, but moving, and its worth your buck to see it. Three stars of five, two taken away because its a lot of action that's unneccessary, and because the Emperor's english could be brushed up a bit (in the movie, not in real life (smiles)
