I know what you mean. Most of my friends are guys. Not many people understand that.

It's disappointing for me to learn that my parents don't think too highly of my friends, and they assume that my having one too many friends who are girls is impeding what otherwise would be a "normal" relationship with people around me.

It's true that most of the people in my class were types that I wouldn't mind not seeing again, and rather predictably so because there were only 19 others to hang around with, many of whom indulged in the likes of smoking and drinking, none of my personal favourites. It's also true that I like to hang around as a result with underclassmen, the select few who include girls. That however isn't an indication that I only hang around girls, nor do I consider it any indication of me being weaker in spirit or stance.

It's become problematic to the point that I can hardly find a good excuse to go out when I want to, despite the very apparent fact that I'm a college student nearing 20. It's difficult even now to go contrary to what my parents want, which is perhaps why college is such a liberating experience.
