I must say, facebook.com has been a blessing of sorts, in that I have managed to regain contact with so many of my friends that I had given up for lost after so many years of lack of contact. Facebook is a directory dedicated only to those who have .edu extension email addresses, which are only provided by schools of higher education. Among those I found, there’s Kevin W. who I went to school back in Geneva with just about 10 years ago, alongside Kareem A. and Oliver J., all of whom are on facebook, and I have been also fortunate in finding friends I had in Tokyo as well as New York. There’s nothing quite like finding a lost friend, and for those of you who have .edu email addresses and who aren’t on facebook, I would strongly encourage you to use it.

My school schedule has been gradually filled up with all sorts of non-academic things:

Monday– Hopefully a job at the Scott Arboretum on campus for 3 hours at $8.01 an hour.
Tuesday– Newman, a program part of the Catholic Campus Ministry.
Thursday– Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association (SF&PA) meetings in the evening.
Friday– Swarthmore Christian Fellowship in the evening.
Sunday– 8 hour classes for the SF&PA. I won’t be able to go to church as a result, so I’m planning on going during the week, though I still feel a bit guilty doing so…

Additionally I’m organising a 7am run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I’m going to be tutoring French for a couple of hours and doing translation services too, and later in September I’m going to be catering for 6 hours on two days!

What fun!
