awwww.
Someone here had a cat last year, but she was an RA/person of importance and was granted special permission to keep him in her dorm room.
It’s unfortunate that animals aren’t allowed on campus, because they’re such a great form of stress relief. I think instead of having a counselor’s office they should just put in a petting zoo.

The Wharton Cat is a ringer (I won’t say “dead ringer,” that’s just too sad) for my beloved Peabody. If it’s any comfort, orange tiger boys are the best cats ever, and he is bound to be loved by his new family. I have many photos of and stories about Pea in the “FeLiner Notes” photo album on the sidebar of my blog.
BTW, thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m glad I checked yours — we have some commonalities besides affection for orange tiger boy cats. Trance music, for one. And I just learned to build my own website for mercantile purposes. I could never compete with you, but it was unexpectedly empowering.

And another thing: a fascination for Area 51. About a year ago I too posted Google map photos of that land of dark mystery.
Woe is I the sufferer of a test poorly taken, a grade undoubtedly miserable, nights lost on retro-intro-spection about why on earth could I not have done better, woe to my worsening eyesight as I studied as the night wore on, woe...
And yet, I think I ought to be thankful for a few things, as I've tried nowadays to quit complaining (hard as it may be) to see things in more positive light. Thankful that the exams are over, thankful that I have Engineering, Math, Physics homework due Friday... wait! I do think those are topics terrible to the eyes to read and awful to the ears... Spring has finally gotten the idea and has begun to make a more significant presence on campus. I'm just waiting for April showers to come so that our campus flourishes in green...
Oh, and something about the . After doing a private investigation on my own that involved putting up posters across the dorm, soliciting information, being forwarded emails unintended for me, telephoning the Dean of Student Life, I did come up with a rather tragic ending to his/her/its presence at Wharton dorm, where I reside.
I had fed the cat during spring break, and it was apparent to me that other people, including a nice lady at the Alumni Relations office, as well as other students, were attached to it and were feeding it. It really brightened up the day when I saw the cat around the courtyard, and lots of people grew attached to it. Last week, to my dismay, I found out the cat was gone, and through hearsay I managed to learn that the cat had been suddenly adopted by some unknown and taken to New Jersey. Frustrated at the fact that no communication was taken place, I decided to talk to the Dean, who made it clear to me that the cat's presence was brought to her attention via the Maintenance people who clean the area up. Evidently since some people 1) did not realise that the cat wasn't just any old stray and 2) did not appreciate animals, the Dean, as per directives in the College rules, decided to take the cat to the nearest shelter, but not before emailing the Resident Assistants (RAs) of Wharton dorm, the people who are in charge of keeping halls calm, clean and orderly etc. One of the RA decided that it would be in the best interests of all not to inform the residents about the cat lest someone decide to hide and keep the cat.
I will definitely have a lengthy talk with that RA. Anyhow, the cat is no longer among us. I'm not very cheered at the possibility that the cat is living better off now. I keep thinking that something bad might've happened to him/her...
Bah.
And I thought this would be a happy post.
