May 26, 2006 | Arriveramo Milano

I don’t know if you all knew that yesterday was Towel Day as homage to the amazing dramatist, amateur musician and author Douglas Adams. As an interesting sidenote, I just finished listening to the twelve episodes of the radio show that aired on BBC Radio 4 in 1978. Imagining the exploits of Arthur Dent, Zaphod, Ford Prefect, Trillian and the ever depressive Marvin is much more enjoyable than watching a movie that does very little justice to the plot.

In any case I will be fortunate enough in taking a small backpacking trip to Milano and its environs by train tomorrow evening, after a day tour to Troyes, a quaint old town that my parents said was worth visiting. I shall return on Wednesday. (In another random sidenote, is Wednesday’s child “full of woe” or “merry and glad“? Why would anyone want to have their child be full of woe anyways?)

I’m a Sunday child.
