Mar 21, 2004 | Movie Review: Along Came Polly

I saw “Along Came Polly” today at Champs Elysees, with Ben Stiller as Reuben Feffer, a over-cautious risk assesment analysist who marries Lisa Kramer (Debra Messing). Lisa ends up (doing stuff) with Claude (Hank Azaria), a french scuba instructor, on the first day of the honeymoon, and thus Reuben returns home alone, left to fend for himself, when he comes face to face with a classmate who he hasn’t seen since seventh grade, Polly Prince (Jennifer Aniston), and things roll from there. Amidst hilarious anecdotes (including Reuben having IBS, irritant bowel syndrome, which prevents him from eating spicy foods that Polly likes).. this film brings out the everyday failed romance to a hilarious light. From the director of “Meet the Parents”. Two out of five.. some sexual content and crude humour.

Runtime: 90 min
Director: John Hamburg
Starring: Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston, Debra Messing, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Hank Azaria, Alec Baldwin
