Colophon

rioleo.org is the namesake domain of Rio Akasaka, a professional web designer and project leader of International Weblogger's Day living in New York City. With extensive experience in Photoshop, CSS and web standards, I have particular expertise in blogging platforms and content managing systems. As a sophomore at Swarthmore College double majoring in Engineering and Linguistics, my main focus is developing and maintaining a clutter-free web experience using strict adherence to web standards, cutting-edge technology and cross-browser compatibility. I have been working with websites since the fall of 2000.

On the other side of the spectrum, I am an avid cyclist, photographer, firefighter, and audio engineer (using FL Studio and Native Instruments). I am also an avid seller at Amazon.com and eBay, a craigslist troll and a Ubuntu user.

Various designs of this site have been featured on CSS Mania and CSS Import. This site was coded entirely by hand, and is now running WordPress 2.1.2 on NearlyFreeSpeech.net's servers. The tools used include CuteFTP 7.0 Professional, Adobe Photoshop CS2, and Notepad2. Under Linux, I use JEdit with the FTP plugin.

The plugins used on this site are SparkStats, Akismet and my own Blogroll Time Since.

This website runs Google Analytics, as well as subtle ads from AdSense.
